Gateway pass operations
Ground-station operators plan shifts around contact windows—when a satellite is visible from a gateway (AOS to LOS). Open any gateway or satellite on the globe to work contacts from the asset card.
Asset card → Schedule
- Select a gateway or satellite on the globe.
- Open the Schedule tab on the right-side asset card.
- The contact Gantt appears on the card (toggle This asset vs All gateways).
- Gantt — gateway rows and contact bars synced to the timeline clock
- Selected contact — Focus on globe and Rain forecast
Other asset card tabs
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Overview | Fleet posture, issues on this asset, telemetry |
| Links | Topology graph and link inventory |
| Services | Connectivity requests (asset-scoped or all fleet) |
| More | Capacity charts and incident bookmarks |
Pass detail actions
When a pass is selected:
- Focus on globe — scrub to AOS and select the gateway
- Rain forecast — weather model; results in the forecast dock above chat
You can also ask the assistant: “Predict rain fade on the selected gateway pass.”
Entity panel
Selecting a ground station on the globe shows Next contact in the Overview tab.
Data source
Pass schedules are derived from your program topology and timeline instant. When your backend exposes a dedicated pass prediction API, the same views consume that feed without changing operator workflow.
